The dollhouse that Dad built
February 23rd, 2012Dollhouses can contain such wonderful memories and we were interested to read the reminiscences of Kay Laughlin from Bay Village in Ohio.
Writing about her dad on the Cleveland.com website, Kay says, “One of our great memories is when he built a dollhouse for my sister, Barb, for Christmas.
“Many of his employees [Dad was banker at the Cleveland Trust Company] got in on the fun and helped with furnishings by knitting and sewing curtains, rugs and building a metal bird cage.
“It was on display for a month in the Cleveland Trust Rotunda on a turntable. We still have the dollhouse.”
